Needing some inspiration for those sale fabrics? Look no further than Rachel’s jumpsuit hack. Here are all the details…
The Pattern:
I’ve been wanting to make a jumpsuit for a while and so when I saw this Anthea blouse/Safiya hack from Sally at Secret Life of a Seamstress, I knew I had to try it. You can watch Sally’s video here but the basics of the jumpsuit are Anthea blouse on top and safiya trousers ( from the Tilly and the Buttons Make It Simple Book) on the bottom.
It was a fairly easy fit for me as the waist of the blouse matched up with the top of the trouser pattern almost perfectly. It may be different for others and Sally talks a bit about that in her video.
The Fabric:
I chose this gorgeous dotty stretch denim which we got into store. As soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to make something out of it as it was just so cute. The denim is now 20% off so make sure you grab some before it is all gone! It is a dream to work with and perfect for trousers due to it’s stretchy quality. I have always struggled to make trousers that fit well but having that little bit of stretch can really help with that. It would be perfect for a pair of dungarees or trousers as we go into the colder months.
This lovely stretch denim is in our 20% summer fabric sale along with loads of other beautiful fabrics. Head over to our website now to shop!
